Any of the following could result in a flat battery:

• Leaving headlights or interior lights on
• When your battery is approaching end of life
• A faulty alternator
• Leaving the car and battery unused for extended periods
• A malfunctioning charging system
• A parasitic drain i.e., faulty alarm system or car tracker device
• Corroded terminals or faulty cables
